Usually there are four different levels of fire retardant grades, as following.
- VW-1, FT1
- FT2
- FT4
- FT6
VW-1 and FT1, and FT2 are the most common grades in use. FT4 is higher level, while FT6 is the ultra level for application in current electronics market.
To meet the demanded fire retardant grades, products to be UL listed is a must. Up to now, WCH Cable owns over 600 UL cable approval style numbers. Accordingly, the factory provide curly cord with various fire retardant grades, including VW-1, FT1, FT2, FT4, FT6, etc.
